  2. Effective management of Church resources.
  3. The absolute principle of the separation of Church resources and that of any individual in the Church.
  4. Effective and efficient administration services.
  5. Good corporate governance, including clear roles and responsibilities and combined monitoring and assurance mechanisms.
  6. Sound business practices, business processes and reporting.

Governance Aims and Mechanisms

The Old Apostolic Church at all levels operates within a strong spiritual and temporal governance framework that is aimed at compliance with its Constitution and the laws of the countries where it has a presence. It espouses effective and efficient administration and good corporate governance through sound values, principles and practices that are geared towards:

  1. Treating all people with respect and always having regard to the notions of human dignity and equality.
  2. A culture of law abidance that is enshrined in the Church’s Confession of Faith.
  3. Adherence to the laws and relevant regulations of all countries where the Church has a presence.
  4. Church administration that flows seamlessly between the most geographically remote congregations and Church Head Offices.
  5. A standard international approach to corporate governance and combined assurance mechanisms with effective oversight bodies and accountability at all levels.
  6. Sound business practices, business processes, reporting and combined monitoring and assurance mechanisms in line with international best practices for similar organisations.
  7. Effective management of Church resources and the absolute principle of the separation of Church resources and that of any individual in the Church.
  8. Disciplined, effective and accountable financial management.
  9. Maintaining high ethical and moral standards through the exemplary conduct of officers.
